Mid Valley Comic Art Expo

It’s been nearly 7 years since I’ve tabled properly at a comic convention or store signing and I was feeling a bit rusty. With Heroes Con fast approaching, I felt that I needed a test run before I flew clear across the country to dip my toe back into the comic convention fray. Luckily for me, the Mid Valley Comic Art Expo showed up in my Social Media feeds and they were able to squeeze me in. Just an hour south of Portland, this looked to be the perfect trial. I had many concerns, but finally breaking down and producing a standing banner for my booth was first on my list. The fine people at Phoenix Media knocked the printing out of the park all the while dealing with my late deadline. As a professional comic colorist for the last thirty years, I was more than pleased with the results. I had plenty of my coloring work and my other self published titles, but Skink and Skunk was the big draw, again. The whole weekend was a great experience and it’s made my return to conventions seem not nearly as daunting. Wish me luck.
